The purpose of library instruction is to enhance learning and integrate information literacy into the curriculum. Teaching librarians help students learn to search, read, think, and contribute in an engaged and iterative research process.
As well as meeting with students to demonstrate database searches, our instruction services include:
- Direct in-person instruction to address any combination of our learning outcomes
- Online, web-based tools targeted to your particular discipline or course
- Collaboration with instructors to design research assignments and class activities that make the best use of library resources to ensure student success
- Faculty workshops to provide ideas for instructors to incorporate research skills throughout a course
